1. Scope and Ownership

Helios Flooring LLC (“Helios,” “we,” “our”) warrants, to the original end-use purchaser only

and for the purposes stated below, that its Stone Polymer Composite (SPC) flooring will be free

from manufacturing defects and will perform under normal residential or light commercial

conditions when installed and maintained in accordance with our installation and

maintenance instructions. This limited warranty is non-transferable and applies only to SPC

products sold under the Helios brand.

1.2 Definition of “Wear-Through”

For purposes of this warranty, wear-through means 100 % vinyl layer wear that exposes

the core over at least 3 % of the total installation area; minor surface scratches, gloss reduction

or color variation are not considered wear-through. Because SPC flooring uses a protective

wear layer, slight dulling or scratches from everyday use are expected and are not covered by

this warranty.

1.3 Original Proof of Purchase

All claims require the original purchase receipt. Failure to provide proof of purchase will void the warranty.

2. Conditions for Coverage

This warranty is conditioned upon compliance with all Helios installation and maintenance

instructions. Improper installation or maintenance voids the warranty. Key requirements

include:

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Pre-installation inspection. Each plank must be inspected for visible defects prior to

installation; installation of planks with visible defects constitutes acceptance and voids

coverage for that plank.

Storage and acclimation. Store and transport cartons flat, and acclimate the flooring

in the room where it will be installed at a temperature between 65 °F and 85 °F (18 °C

– 29 °C) for 48 hours before installation. Maintain the same temperature range

during installation and for 48 hours after.

Expansion space. Leave at least a 1/4 inch (6 mm) expansion gap around the

perimeter of the room and at all fixtures and pipes, and cover exposed edges with trim

or high-quality silicone caulk. Use T-moldings to divide rooms or areas exceeding 40 ft

× 40 ft and between adjoining rooms.

Subfloor requirements. Subfloors must be clean, smooth, flat, solid and dry. Uneven

areas greater than 3/16 inch in 10 ft should be leveled using a suitable patching

compound. A moisture barrier of at least 6 mil polyethylene is required over concrete

subfloors to prevent moisture transmission.

Interior use. SPC flooring is designed for interior, climate-controlled spaces. Use

outdoors or in unconditioned environments is excluded.

Radiant heat. Surface temperature of radiant-heated subfloors must not exceed 85 °F

(29 °C); gradually increase temperature after installation and operate the system for at

least three weeks prior to installation.

Maintenance. Sweep or vacuum regularly with a soft brush head; clean spills promptly

using a mild, pH-neutral cleaner; avoid harsh cleaners, bleach, ammonia or vinegar

based products; do not use steam mops. Use felt pads under furniture and replace them

as they wear; do not drag or roll heavy objects across the floor. Place natural fiber rugs

at entry points to trap grit and moisture.

3. Coverage Provided

During the applicable warranty period and subject to the conditions above, Helios will replace

only the defective planks or tiles with material of the same or similar colour and grade. No

refund will be issued, and Helios’ obligation is limited to supplying replacement material for

the affected area only; the company will not replace or pay for the entire floor. Replacement

material will be provided pro-rata based on the length of time the floor has been installed.

Helios’ liability is limited solely to the cost of the defective flooring material; labor, installation,

removal, freight and related costs are excluded.

4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

The following situations are excluded and will void this warranty:1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Visible defects after installation. Any claim for defects that could have been

discovered before or during installation is excluded.

Damage from improper installation or job-site conditions. This includes, but is not

limited to, improper subfloor preparation, failure to acclimate the product, insufficient

expansion gaps, installation over inappropriate substrates, or failure to use a required

moisture barrier. Installing cabinets or heavy objects directly on floating SPC flooring,

or adding extra underlayment when pre-attached padding is present, voids the

warranty.

Improper use or abuse. Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, impact, cutting,

scratching, gouging, indentation, high heels, sharp objects, or dragging heavy furniture

without adequate protection is excluded. Use of rolling casters, wheelchairs or heavy

mobility equipment without protective mats is not covered.

Moisture and flooding. Although the planks are waterproof, damage from excessive

moisture such as flooding, standing water, hydrostatic pressure, plumbing leaks or

other casualty events is excluded. The warranty does not cover mold or mildew growth

due to prolonged exposure to moisture.

Pet damage and staining. Stains or damage from pets or other biological substances

that are not cleaned promptly are excluded.

Color variation and fading. Normal color variations from plank to plank, minor shade

differences between samples and installed product, natural aging, or slight lightening

during the first six months are not considered defects. Exposure to direct sunlight may

cause fading; install appropriate window coverings and use area rugs; fading from

sunlight is not covered.

Gloss reduction and surface scratches. Normal wear, dulling or reduction of gloss,

and superficial scratches or scuffs are expected and are not considered wear-through.

Loss of shine can be restored with proper maintenance.

Improper cleaning or maintenance. Use of harsh chemicals, waxes, oil soaps, steam

mops, or vacuum cleaner beater bars voids the warranty.

Installation outside recommended environmental conditions. Damage caused by

exposure to temperatures above 100 °F or below 65 °F, or humidity outside 40 %–70 %,

is excluded.

Other exclusions. Chips, warps, buckles or cracks resulting from inadequate expansion

space, unstable subfloors or improper maintenance; damage due to adhesives or tape;

flooring installed outdoors, on vertical surfaces or in vehicles; and any incidental or

consequential damages are not covered.

5. Claim Procedure

To make a claim under this warranty, the original purchaser must:

Include a description of the issue, date of purchase, proof of purchase, and photographs

showing the defect.

Allow inspection. Helios reserves the right to inspect the floor and to have samples

removed for testing. Failure to allow inspection voids the claim.3. Submit within timeframe. Claims for wear must show a minimum area of damage

(e.g., approximately a dime-sized area). Claims submitted after the warranty period or

without the required information will be denied.

If Helios determines that a valid warranty claim exists, Helios’ sole obligation will be to replace

the defective planks or tiles with material of the same or similar quality. No refund will be

issued, and replacement will be limited to the damaged products; Helios will not replace the

unaffected portion of the floor. Replacement flooring may differ in color or texture due to

natural variations or changes in products.

6. Limitations and Legal Rights

This warranty constitutes the exclusive remedy of the purchaser and is in lieu of all other

express or implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for

a particular purpose, which are hereby disclaimed to the extent allowed by law. In jurisdictions

where limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential

damages are not permitted, the above limitations may not apply. This warranty gives you

specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

Helios Flooring LLC will not be liable for any incidental, consequential or special damages,

including but not limited to loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of the product, damage to

other property, or any other incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the

exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply

to you.
